Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
NaijaVenue is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our platform to discover and book event venues and services across Nigeria.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly — your name, email, phone number, and account type when you register. We also gather booking details, payment information (processed securely via Paystack), saved favourites, and messages exchanged with hosts. Automatically collected data includes your device, browser, and usage patterns.
How We Use Your Information
Your data powers the platform: creating and managing your account, processing bookings and payments, sending booking confirmations and notifications, verifying identity, improving our services, and complying with legal obligations. We never sell your personal data.
Sharing Your Information
We share necessary details with venue hosts and service providers to fulfil your bookings, with payment processors (Paystack) to handle transactions securely, and with service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, email, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements. We may disclose data if required by law.
Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect your information. Payment details are tokenised and handled entirely by Paystack — we never store your full card numbers. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time from your dashboard. You may opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link. To exercise your data rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, contact us at privacy@naijavenue.com.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and site functionality, and analytics cookies to understand how you use the platform. See our Cookie Policy for details on managing cookies.
